In New Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a rally in Burari to express gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making decisions to resume land mutation in rural villages and eliminate the need for no objection certificates for power connections in certain parts of the city. Delhi BJP leader Virendra Sachdeva called it a "Diwali gift" for villagers and residents of unauthorized colonies, mentioning that these issues were resolved after the party's MPs met with LG VK Saxena. Sachdeva praised the Modi government for addressing the concerns by waiving the requirement of NOCs for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies and resolving the property mutation issue in Delhi villages. However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused BJP of trying to take credit for the achievements of their own government and misleading the public. At the rally, Sachdeva mentioned that the restrictions were hindering property transfers to the next generation, but after their intervention, these obstacles were removed. He asserted BJP's commitment to serve the people of Delhi and mentioned plans to extend electricity and water subsidies to middle-class households. Sachdeva also expressed confidence in BJP's victory in the upcoming Delhi polls. The top priorities on the agenda would include the implementation of the Prime Minister's housing scheme, Ayushman Bharat, and the regularization of temporary workers such as home guards, bus marshals, and guest teachers. Sachdeva, when questioning the AAP government, stated that no slum would be demolished without providing alternate housing options under the BJP's leadership. Additionally, he mentioned that the Nirmal Yamuna Plan aims to make the Yamuna pollution-free within a year.
